Austin SWAT Successfully Raids Empty Hotel Room

Austin police staged a four-hour-long standoff outside of an empty room at the downtown Doubletree this morning, after responding to a call about an alleged assault. The suspect, a law enforcement official from Bexar county, evidently fled the premises before authorities arrived. [News8Austin]
