Agreed. I've been witness to a "fake" account sending an e-mail to a company address and that person was promptly fired a few hours later. No government involvement needed. Sounds like a sensationalism to me.

The Roy Spence part of the story just isn't true. The guy has more important things to do than get involved in what amounts to a low-level personnel matter. Besides, you don't need to call in any political favors to have a case of fraud investigated.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I spent 5+ years at GSD&M and, well, yeah... Though I have to admit, the federal warrant is a new one.

Really - government contacts? Why not just call IT and have them check it out like every other company...
