Jeff Buckley's name is one of the most recognizable in the music world, a remarkable feat for a guy who released only three full-lengths (one was live, one was posthumously pieced together from his in-progress My Sweetheart the Drunk sessions) and died at the young age of 30. His music is so highly regarded, he has become one of the most covered artists around, and his followers, fans and friends never tire of introducing the uninitiated to his body of work. In 2004, Nyla Bialek Adams and Laurie Trombley's documentary, Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley won numerous awards and helped propel the singer to new heights in appreciation. Beyond the collection of songs is an entire world of Buckley appreciation that flourishes all over the globe: his listeners are devotees, celebrating his life and work each year on his birthday.

For Austinites, that celebration is happening at Lambert's on November 15. Benefits go to Road Recovery, a non-profit advocating "music without drugs," and they are taking submissions now. Artists interested in paying tribute to Buckley in November are encouraged to submit electronic press kits to Kristina Vallejo (email) at Incubation Music.
