Breaking: Austinist Releases Official Fun Fest 2008 Lineup

Austinist is happy to announce this year's line-up for the Fun Fun Fun Festival happening at Waterloo Park on November 8 & 9. Once again, we're proud media sponsors, and will be bringing you all the news and coverage you'll need to be prepared for two incredibly packed days of music.

As expected, the lineup reflects a myriad of influences, tastes and genres. Fans of hardcore and punk will be watching acts like Bad Brains, ALL and the Dead Milkmen, while more center-aligned indie rock fans will experience everything from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! to the National, to St. Vincent to Deerhoof.

The meat of the lineup is healthy throughout, as hip hop acts like Clipse and comedy acts like Tim & Eric's Awesome Show (Great Job) round things out. Bring your dancing shoes, though: Dan Deacon makes an appearance this year, as do YACHT and Dr. Octagon.

Visit our own dedicated Fun Fest page for music samples of performing artists, after party information, all our coverage, the full lineup and much more, including photos and video from last year's festival. Tickets go on sale soon, and are $59.99 for the two day pass. Not a bad deal, not bad at all.

Follow the jump for the full line-up for 2008's Fun Fun Fun Festival.

Whoah!! z-trip, trail of dead, adolescents, & flipper made it worth the ticket price. everything else is bonus for me. except homophobes like bad brains and the cromags, who i'll skip.

seth

I was going to go, but I'm ascared of the weird angry kid in the logo.

Integrity, Cromags, Bad Brains. I'm going to have to start stretching and working out now. My old bones can't handle the pit like they used to, but this may be the last time I get in there for real this time. Last time was at Gorilla Biscuits a few years ago and I only lasted two songs. THANK YOU GRAHAM!!! Without people like him none of this would be possible.

There is no Flipper without Will Shatter (RIP). That said, the punk stage looks effing amazing.
