Artists never seem happy sticking to one medium. Painters make sculptures, sculptors create collages, and many seem to dabble in video nowadays.

Those dabblers and some devoted to the moving art form will get together on Saturday for the opening of Cut the Cord! Up Here Everything Makes Sense!, the latest exclamation-point-filled offering by the conglomeration of artists at Okay Mountain.

The group show focuses on video art, with a few paintings, drawings, and photographs on display for good measure. Work by various artists from Austin and abroad will explore everything from racism and repetition of movement. The show was curated by Austin artist Erick Michaud, whose own work bounces back and forth between performance art, painting, mixed media and videos.

During the opening reception on Saturday, videos of various lengths, styles, and themes will be shown one after another, flowing from one to the next. Organizers admit that there is no overarching theme here, and viewers should think of it more like a well-put-together mixed tape.

Cut The Cord! From Up Here Everything Makes Sense! runs through September 20.
