KGSR 107.1 invites Austinites to jump in this week and explore Austin's culinary scene while benefiting a great cause. Through Sunday, participating restaurants will showcase some of their favorite menu items to the tune of three courses for $25 (plus drinks, tax, and tip ... don't forget to tip for Heaven's sake, people gotta make a living!), with $5 going to Kids Cafés, which are safe places kids can go after school and get a hot dinner and some help with their homework. Currently, there are 31 Kids Cafés in Central Texas, all operated by the Capital Area Food Bank, that serve in excess of 25,000 meals to more than 2,800 kids every month.
Participating restaurants during KGSR Restaurant Week include Austin Land and Cattle, Chez Zee, Ciola's Italian American Restaurant, Dona Emilia's, Imperia, J. Blacks, Jasper's, Kenichi Austin, Ranch 616, The Belmont, The County Line On The Hill, The County Line On The Lake, The Melting Pot Downtown, The Melting Pot Northwest, and ReVive at the Wyndham, so get to decidin'.
