Austinist Giveaway: Twelfth Night at the Scottish Rite Theatre

The Twelfth Night
Fr/Sa @ 8 p.m. / Su @ 5 p.m. thru 8/30
Scottish Rite Theatre (207 W. 18th Street)
$15
[info] | [tickets]
Oh, that magical number twelve! One never knows where it will take us. Perhaps to the twelve days of Christmas, with twelve drummers drumming—kinda like in the 2002 Nick Cannon hit Drumline. Or the twelve adorable children of Steve Martin in the family classic Cheaper By The Dozen! Okay, so those are pretty bad examples of twelve. But really, what can measure up to that pinnacle of twelvitude, Shakespeare’s The Twelfth Night, Or What You Will? Perhaps his most famous and beloved comedy, The Twelfth Night has all that classic Shakespearean goodness, and no reminders of mind-boggling Steve Martin movie choices.

Because the Scottish Rite Theatre knows you don't have enough daring swordplay, forbidden romance and robust fun in your life, they've given Austinist two pair of tickets to their new production of The Twelfth Night to pass along to our dear readers. Should you win, you'll enjoy one of the bad-assest female lead characters in the history of theatre, Viola, and her madcap attempts at impersonating her long-lost brother. All goes awry when people start falling in love with other people—regardless of what gender they’re supposed to be. The Scottish Rite production is directed by Los Angeles transplant Beth Burns, who’s also a part of the city’s famous Groundlings improv troupe.

Congratulations to our winners! Pick up tickets here if you didn't get 'em by winning!
