New Brewery Announces Grand Opening Tour and Tasting

One of Austin's newest breweries, (512) Brewing Company, is inviting beer fans to come out for a grand opening tour and tasting this Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

The managers of the microbrewery (which is located near S. Congress and Ben White Blvd.) are proud to source as many local, domestic, and organic ingredients as they can and employ old world recipes with an updated domestic twist -- read more about their brewing practices here.

The event will feature tastings of all the (512) beer offerings, tours, and there will be (512) glassware and t-shirts available to purchase for anyone who falls in love with the beer offerings.

Thank you guys so much for this info! :-)

Thanks for the tip - been looking forward to 512's debut.

Wow, I stopped by today. What a turn out. I showed up at 1:40 and all the glasses had already been sold and the line was at least 50 deep. Great beer coming from these guys; I'm a big IPA fan and they met expectations as well with the pale, but the surprise for me was the Wit, really, really good! Congrats 512 on a huge turnout, great beer and another notch in the belt of the return of the microbrewery!

I must have made it just before you, GA - I managed to get a glass and put it to good use. But yeah, the turnout surprised me, it was packed!

I think the IPA was my favorite, with the Pale a very close second. Looking forward to seeing 512 showing up in local bars.

It is already at a few, Drafthouse, Billy's, Lovejoys's and a couple of others. I understand you can get it do go from Billy's

Great news. Hopefully Gingerman will follow suit shortly. I've been meaning to try Billy's, maybe this is the excuse I've been waiting for.

Ah yes, Gingerman was on the list too...
