I would guess that one side would rather be ignorant and self-righteous than admit that others may feel differently than they do. Those damn meat eaters, always passing judgement on others...

  • Ryan

You're right, Benj! It IS really hard to understand why people like the taste and texture of meat but don't like the totally disgusting meat industry in the USA! And, my god, they are willing to PAY for a humane and healthy alternative! Your incomprehension is totally comprehensible!

Grape Ape, I think the better question is:

Is it better to be ignorant and self-righteous or just self-righteous?

...That being said, I love--love--Dog Almighty for their veggie hot dogs ...mainly because hot dogs never resembled meat in the first place.

I don't think I'll ever understand why there are whole industries dedicated to the fabrication of fake meat. Do a lot of vegans go in for this stuff? Like, "I'm ethically opposed to the torture, murder, and consumption of animal species justified not by survival but by collective selfishness-- however I do love to simulate that experience as often as possible!!"

Every time I think meat eaters are total ignorant assholes, I realize that millions of dollars have been spent to develop fake hamburger patties and fake taco meat. In other words, to give soy and tvp the same texture as ground flesh and sinew.

Yeah, nothing depresses me like raising, torturing, and mercilessly killing living beings to satisfy one's own desires, including the desire to get heart disease, obesity, and colon cancer.

Nothing could depress me more than the idea of someone being put off by the fact that some people don't eat meat.

And who said that you can't still get something bad for you as a vegan. I heard those fritos screaming as they were being processed though, so beware.

Of all of the veggie friendly items in this town DA's veggie chili ranks right up there as making this carnivore quite happy.

Nothing could depress me more than the idea of vegan frito pie.
