UT Men Finalize Hoops Schedule

A week after the Big 12 released its schedule for the 2008-09 men’s basketball season, the Texas Longhorns have officially finalized the non-conference portion of their schedule, according to the Statesman.

The non-conference schedule is highlighted by a December 4th home matchup against UCLA, which was ranked No. 2 nationally last season when they were defeated by the Longhorns at Pauley Pavilion. The game finalizes a home-and-home between the teams as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood series.

The schedule includes other tough games against Villanova, Michigan State and Wisconsin. The Longhorns could also face the presumptive national preseason No. 1, North Carolina, during the Maui Invitational in late November.
