Fun Fest 2008 Lineup Leak: DOA, Minus the Bear & DJ Z-Trip

Fun Fest
Nov. 8-9
Waterloo Park (403 E. 15th)
Tickets on sale Sept.1 @ ticketweb.com
[info]
Earlier this month, our friends at Gorilla vs. Bear shared some "D" related facts regarding this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest, taking place in November. They confirmed Deerhoof and Dan Deacon, and we all get excited about the Dead Milkmen reunion.

Though the official lineup release won't happen until mid-August, you can check back here, at Gorilla vs. Bear, and in The Onion for more hints prior. Today, we're happy to announce that punk legends DOA will be on the bill (does this mean we might get a surprise spoken word performance from Jello Biafra, too?), as well as DJ Z-Trip (that's a YouTube link featuring Z-Trip and Beck together at Coachella. Does that mean ... ) and Minus the Bear. MTB were recently featured on Daytrotter.com, and are touring in support of their latest, Planet of Ice.

Keep checking back for more information on the festival, and follow the jump to sample tunes from performing artists and look at some photos from last year's festival, courtesy Austinist contributing photographers.

I saw DJ Z-Trip spin/mix "Dust in the Wind" at the first Bonnarooo, while encouraging people to break out their lighters. Funniest festival moment ever. I thought he was just doing a bit, but apparently not.

call me an amateur but i don't get z-trip. the mash-up genre really does nothing but increase my blood pressure and split my skull.

last year's fun fest was so amazing. seeing murder city devils was a great momemnt. against me! was fun also. my favorite was final fantasy, that was truly an experience. keep on leaking the line up and i'll keep adding them to my fun fun fun fest muxtape.
