ACL After Shows: Conor Oberst, M Ward, Jenny Lewis & More

A brief glance at Charles Attal's calendar reveals some Austin City Limits festival after-shows and ticket information. Several shows are on the books, including performances by Jaime Lidell and Heartless Bastards on Friday night (Parish, Emo's, respectively) and a huge triple ticket featuring Conor Oberst, M Ward and Jenny Lewis on Sunday night at La Zona Rosa. Saturday night is mysteriously quiet aside from a Car Stereo (Wars) performance that indicates an inter/national name will be filling the venue (Emo's) later in the evening. Local DJ Car Stereo (Wars) will also be at Emo's Friday night, warming the crowd for Drive By Truckers and many more.

Tickets for these shows go on sale Saturday, but keep an eye out for more post-festival events trickling down that schedule. And certainly don't spend all your dough in one place: there will undoubtedly be oodles of other things happening around town that weekend to keep you occupied.

Austin City Limits happens the weekend of September 26th at Zilker Park. For more information on the lineup, read our post from June covering the release of the full schedule.

so when are the tickets for the conor oberst supposed to actually go on sale?

  • davetx

According to Michael Corcoran, these shows are actually a month away from going on sale.

Looks like all of these shows were pulled from the frontgate tickets page. Maybe next week?

  • davetx

Oh, duh. They were already mentioned.

But with Dead Confederate also at Emo's? HELL yeah.

I read somewhere that Okkervil River and Black Keys are playing Stubb's on one of the evenings.

I'm still chewing my nails waiting for the inevitable Drive-By Truckers aftershow(s).

Please, someone, book Spiritualized to play somewhere after the fest...

One would assume that when the Oberst show is official, it'll be listed on La Zona Rosa's website and their ticketbastard of choice, GetTix.net.

It's also not even listed on Pitchfork's announcement from earlier today of Oberst's world tour dates (ACL Fest is listed as the lone Austin date). At this point, I would suspect that only the Frontgate affiliated venues' shows are going on sale Saturday.
