Local Food Bank Donations Down
With rising gas prices, a stumbling economy, students out of town for the summer, and people on vacation, local area food banks are reporting that their contributions are way down, and naturally their needs are way up. The Capitol Area Food Bank estimates a need to purchase $1.7 million in food to offset the shortage in giving this year. [KXAN]
