Austinist Event Alert: AMF's Music Industry Boot Camp series tonight @ Scholz Garten

This Monday, the Austin Music Foundation brings us “Web 2.0: Effective Strategies for Online Promotion,” the 37th edition of its informative Music Industry Boot Camp series. From the official AMF website, “Music Industry Boot Camp is a quarterly educational seminar series created by Austin Music Foundation to help musicians and industry professionals learn about the business aspects of the music industry so that they can become more savvy and ultimately more successful with their artistic endeavors. Speakers both locally and from around the country are selected for their expertise and experience about the given topic to take part as instructors and panel members for these seminars.”

Austinist’s music editor Paige Maguire (and also KUT.org's Director of Web Production) has been selected to participate as a member of the panel for this evening's discussion, which will be moderated by Russell Raines, Digital & Interactive Director at St. Edward’s University. The event is at Scholz Garten, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight, and the other panelists are as follows -- Kristine Gloria, Digital Strategist, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide PR and blogger, Austin 3.0; Michael Feferman, Director of Digital Strategy at C3 Presents; David Wyatt, Wyatt Brand Public Relations and Branding; and musician Dave Madden. The aim is to highlight how best to utilize the internet as a promotional device to maximize success and advancement for one’s entity.

P.S. The AMF Music Industry Boot Camp events are always free!
