Yet another good justification for public transportation. Get the dangerous idiots off the road so the rest of us can go on about our business.

I learned to drive in El Paso, and it was always scary and jarring to visit Austin. Austin drivers seemed to me to be more aggresive and less accommodating. Now that I have lived in Austin a while I actually learned to hate to drive. I thought it was just me being too timid - many people complained of El Paso drivers being too slow, so I am satisfied that All State saw fit to qualify my previous habits as "good driving." Just a note: the post says the study took age and gender into account.

Austin's average age is the youngest in Texas. Has the highest proportion of college students to general population of any large Texas city. I"m sure the fact that we are the tech-savviest city and the best place for singles (aka drinking) doesn't help.
