Spartan & Bows + Arrows Summer Bash
This Saturday afternoon, South Lamar upstarts Spartan and Bows + Arrows will be hosting their first annual Summer Bash art and trunk show.
The event features the works of two local artists - photographer Sarah Wilson and jeweler Rachel Roberts.
Wilson, whose work has been featured in Texas Monthly, Men's Journal and Real Simple, will be showing her latest series of photos, entitled West Texas Landscapes. The body of work is a fresh step away from the portrait-heavy series which have garnered her both local and national acclaim.
Roberts, who metal-smiths under the moniker Mingle Design, will be on hand with her collection of tooled accessories. Her subtle yet striking take on jewelry will also be featured in July's issue of Austin Monthly.
Snacks will be provided by Taco Deli and margaritas will be available all day for patrons 21 years of age or older.
