I can't help it; I still love Rush of Blood to the Head, and therefore, Coldplay. I can't remember when everyone started hating them so much, but I can say that they were the most electric headliner that ACL fest has seen, making up for the irreparable damage done to my lungs by Dust Bowl 2005.

I acknowledge that I am a cheesy optimist, much like Martin. The first step is acceptance...

From The Guardian's hilarious and on-point review of the Coldplay record:
"You might say that the results are more subtle only in the same way that being slapped across the face is more subtle than being smashed over the head with a breezeblock."
"The messages are weighty and inarguable (42, for example, has sussed out that when people die, their loved ones remember them), but the fear that Martin could let fly with a line about tomorrow being the first day of the rest of your life looms ever-present."
"Perhaps it's hard to think outside the box when the box is the size of the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena."

You couldn't be more right on about the absolute awesomeness of Pacific Ocean Blue. I just hope there's a copy left when I run to pick up my own this evening.
