Johnson Family Asks Presidential Candidates to Town Hall Meeting
Two town-hall-meeting-style forum opportunities have been offered to presidential candidates John McCain (GOP) and Barack Obama (Dem). The Johnson family has asked the candidates to hold a forum at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, and Nancy Reagan has asked them to hold a forum at the Reagan National Library in California. Both forums would be scheduled for July.
So far, only the McCain campaign has accepted. Obama may prefer Lincoln-Douglas style debates, but hopefully he'll take up this opportunity (mainly because we'd like such an event to happen in our fair city).
If you attended the Town Hall Meeting, what would you ask the candidates?
