Absolutely, causal, that's what I should have said: It's better that it coincides with Juneteenth; that's just good, well-intentioned humor, which is the best way for people to cope with racial issues. I swear to god, the NAACP needs to watch some comedy and chill the fuck out.

I adopted an older black dog intentionally because I knew he was less likely to be adopted by others. It seems like there should be a way to raise this issue in an inoffensive way.

Why the hell would anyone be offended by this? It's just kind of funny, if anything. And Linder's comments don't make much sense. No basis in reality? The reality is that phrase is now part of the American English lexicon.
