Open Call for Art: Erotica at Gallery Lombardi

In what could be the chance you've been waiting for, Gallery Lombardi is currently accepting entries for their upcoming juried show, Erotica. Work in any medium will be accepted for consideration, and the gallery hopes to showcase at least 50 artists in disciplines ranging from painting to installation to performance art.

The opening night reception for Erotica will be held on Saturday, August 2nd. Mark your calendars: this exhibition of exhibitionists will take the form of an "interactive variety show," with entertainment both inside the gallery and outside in the adjacent "nice alley." That's hot!

Gallery owner Ron Prince is offering "The Ron Prince Awards for Hotness," with $200 going to the piece he deems hottest. Other cash awards are being offered for second and third place, with $100 being given to the People's Choice Award winner.

Grab your digital camera, plaster casting kit, and a friend (or two), and make some sweet, sweet art.

The deadline to submit entries is Monday, June 16th. A printable entry form is available on the gallery's website, which claims that "all humans are eligible" and "all media will be considered". There is a submission fee of $20 for up to four entries.
