
On Friday, Ladytron will be at Stubb's. Touring on their fourth studio album, Velocifero, Ladytron will be sure to bring their unique blend of glam/electro-pop. Norway's Datarock opens, and doors are at 7:00 p.m.
According to their website, the only thing that can stop this road-warrior punk outfit is "being kicked out of every club in the U.S., their tour van breaking down," or "their livers giving out." And they've been doing it since 1990. A filthy good time, to be sure. The show is Saturday @ Red 7, and doors are at 8:00 p.m.
For an experience out of the ordinary Red River/6th Street shuffle, head out to One World Theater on Bee Cave Road, where the pride of Toronto's alt-country scene, the Cowboy Junkies, will play two nights of folk-inspired, trance-inducing folk-rock led by timeless she-crooner Margo Timmins. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. (Friday) and 9:30 p.m. (Saturday).
Touring on their 4th full length release Keep Your Eyes Ahead, are Portland's Helio Sequence. Their music is atmospheric, soaring and highly melodic. Austin's Low Line Caller and New Roman Times open for them at The Mohawk on Saturday, and the show starts at 9:00 p.m.
