Getting the stage nice and ready for Built by Snow will be Future Clouds and Radar, a group who, in living up to their excellent band name, continue to move through the Austin scene like a whirlwind, picking up fans and critical acclaim with ease via mixing tried-and-true pop sensibilities with a willingness to experiment. Also, it surely doesn't hurt that they, at times, can sound even a little bit Beatles-esque.
As well as that duo of heady headliners, those who arrive early will be rewarded with a promising if under-known pair of opening acts. Model United Nations, an intriguing outfit built on engaging lyricism and Europop influences, can easily be tagged with the enviable "band-to-watch" label, while Low Line Caller is a patient bunch of fellows who don't rush their songs to conclusion, but feel free to let them build to a slow, but sure, satisfaction. Put all these acts together, and you've got a four-pronged Parish Room pop music extravaganza.
