Austinist Alert: City of Austin Waller Creek District Survey

It’s no secret that we love the Red River District here at Austinist so we want to get the word out on this City of Austin Waller Creek District Survey. It’s a bit long so bear with it but definitely participate if you want your voice heard for plans that include an area which has become a beloved and enduring segment of downtown Austin. The survey closes on May 31st.

Per the survey: “The Waller Creek Project Team is seeking your opinion on the vision for the Waller Creek District, which includes the creekside area and surrounding public and private property.

The Waller Creek District is bounded by Red River Street on the west from 3rd Street to 12th Street, the boundary continues east on 12th Street. From Red River Street to Sabine Street, turns south on Sabine Street from 12th Street to 11th Street, continues east on 11th Street between Sabine Street and I-35 Frontage Road. Continues south along I-35 Frontage Road until Cummings Street where it turns west and continues northwest following the shore of Lady Bird Lake. Turns north at the extension of Trinity Street and continues north on Trinity Street from Cesar Chavez Street to 3rd Street and turns east to close the loop at 3rd Street and Red River Street.”

Thank you John Wickham at Elysium and Max Dropout at Beerland for bringing this to our attention.
