In a world where people, planet and profits must run paramount for any business to thrive today, this triple bottom line approach has been at the core of the Whole Foods culture for nearly 30 years. And now, CEO John Mackey is sharing his insights and his commitment to the business principles he calls "conscious capitalism" at a benefit for the organization FLOW.

"A Conversation on Conscious Capitalism" will be an authentic conversation with Mackey as he reflects on the process of developing and discovering the Whole Foods Market business model, the future of Conscious Capitalism, and the personal, economic and societal implications of building a conscious business.

Tickets are on sale now for the June 12 event at St. David's Episcopal Church. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $20 for students. The tickets for priority seating (which includes an invite to a post-event reception with Mackey) are $100.

Hmm. "Conscious capitalism", eh? Sounds awfully similar to "compassionate conservatism" doesn't it?

I don't buy into the Cult of Whole Foods. And I smell a weasel.
