Monster Book Sale This Weekend

The Friends of the Austin Public Library are holding their Monster Book Sale this weekend. Even though the Monster Book Store run by the Friends closed in October, books have still accumulated through donations by library customers. On Saturday and Sunday, books of all sorts will be available for $1 or $2 (at past sales, you could fill up a box of books for $10).

This sale will be held near the North Village Library location (in the same shopping center). The Monster book sale is basically a frugal way to restock your personal library yet benefit Austin libraries at the same time. The last time we attended a Monster Book Sale, we went on a Sunday afternoon and the pickings were slim -- we still found a copy of The Liar's Club and more, though. Be forewarned that if you're looking for a specific author or book, you might have better luck Saturday morning.
