Crace Archives Acquired by Ransom Center

It was announced today that the Ransom Center at UT has acquired the archive of acclaimed British author Jim Crace. Crace is the author of such award-winning novels as Being Dead (winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award) and Quarantine (Booker Prize shortlist). The author recently served as writer-in-residence at UT's Michener Center for Writers and says he is excited to know the Ransom Center will "provide a home for my own archive, spanning everything from first childhood attempts at fiction and teenage poems through 17 years of journalism and nine published novels to page drafts of my current ongoing book (partly set in Austin) and watercolour sketches for an upcoming fictional memoir." The archives will include Crace's manuscripts, screenplays, radio plays, correspondence, proposals for two novels, and more.
