Burnt Orange Bandit Holding Up Asian Students

Authorities at the University of Texas are starting to suspect that a rash of recent armed robberies on campus may be related.

For the third time this month, a student was held up at gunpoint by a man described as standing approximately 6 feet tall with a "medium to muscular build." In each case, the assailant donned a mask and gloves.

More disturbingly, the suspect thus far seems to be solely targeting Asian students.

"All three students [victims] have been Asians, a mix of male and females and I don't know the answers to why," said University of Texas chief of police Robert Dahlstrom.

Police have increased campus patrols in light of these recent attacks as well as a series of burglaries that have taken place at Robert Lee Moore Hall. Meanwhile, some UT students are taking matters into their own hands.

"If I see anything, I'll tackle any dude who's being confrontational with Asian people on campus, like, I'm gonna get them, hog tie them and call the police," said UT graduate student Noah Benjamin to News 8 Austin.

Anyone with information on this case should call UT police at 512-232-9640.

I don't think he's targeting Asians . . . I think he's probably going after people who A) are on campus late at night, and B) would tend to have expensive high-tech equipment on them. It probably just so happens that a lot of Natural Science students (who have nice computers/other items) who have to work/study late into the night are probably international students . . . That's my theory anyway.

Your theory, apt as it may be, fails to consider the Mac-owning Vampire Hmong Bio-Chem majors.

Hog tying is a great defense against guns. I hear it's been very effective in Iraq.
