Cat Power Show on Sunday Canceled

We're sorry to report that the Cat Power show scheduled for Sunday evening at Stubb's has been postponed due to "damaged vocal chords."

We will announce the new date and location when we get word, but until then, we assume it has nothing to do with Stephen Malkmus' competing gig also happening Sunday night at La Zona Rosa.

Please stay tuned to Austinist and Frontgate Tickets for more information on the reschedule date. All tickets for the April 20th show will be honored for the new date.

Now I can feel like less of an idiot for buying tickets for both shows. I mean, I'm not actually less of an idiot, but at least this saves me from having to eat the cost of one pair.

They haven't announced a cancellation of the Saturday Dallas show yet. Anyone know if her vocal chord dysfunction is localized to Austin?
