Austinist Show Preview: Canopy (final show), more at Club DeVille
Oh, Canopy, we hardly knew ye. While we understand the difficulties of keeping an eight-person band all on the same page and distinctly fulfilled, well, it's still all so sudden. But at least you'll go out tonight with a bang, what with a stellar show planned and the official release of your new EP on Autobus records, Canopy/Anopy.
And what else is on the agenda for Friday night at Club DeVille? In addition to saying your goodbyes to Canopy, there's a boatload of other talent to check out. The Early Tapes, Martin Crane (of Brazos, who produced the Canopy EP) and The Cari and Jason Band will all be performing. For those not in the know, that band is half of Belaire, Cari Palazollo and Jason Chronis.
And if that weren't enough, Ramesh Srivastava of Voxtrot will be DJing as The Kid. Oh, and the show benefits a dog named Edie, who is need of medical care. You can't lose!
