Regarding the high cost of prescription drugs:

    HELLO MEXICO!

The premise of that article is tripe and it comes right out says so:

"...sponsored by four groups who consider themselves part of a nationwide 'marriage movement' — the New York-based Institute for American Values, the Institute for Marriage and Public Policy, Families Northwest of Redmond, Wash., and the Georgia Family Council, an ally of the conservative ministry Focus on the Family..."

Forgive me if I detect a little bias there.

"...Scafidi's calculations were based on the assumption that households headed by a single female have relatively high poverty rates, leading to higher spending on welfare, health care, criminal justice and education for those raised in the disadvantaged homes..."

I'm making the assumption that single parent households make up in increased tax revenues from the purchase of separate houses, cars, etc., the higher spending on the disadvantaged.

    Assumptions are so convenient.
