This Saturday, two of Austin's newest boutiques invite you to celebrate their grand openings with a day of food, music and shopping.

Spartan - opened by Austin-native Currie Person - is a quaint home and travel accessories shop carrying a wide variety of items from handmade cards to stylish and eco-friendly household items. While relatively small, the store is a perfect solution for anyone looking for gifts that might appeal to someone with a more taste.

Next door is Bows + Arrows, which is run by Lauren Thumlert (who formerly helped run the Royal Family). The boutique specializes in high-end clothing options for a younger crowd, but does well to avoid trying to fill the eccentric niche left when Factory People closed its doors. Instead, the racks are filled with a much more practical blend of women's and men's wear.

Festivities start at noon, with food provided by the Mediterranean specialists at Fino and DJs spinning until 7pm.
