Local Political Blog Pink Dome Turns Out the Lights

Pink Dome, a political blog that has followed the hijinks of the Texas Legislature for some three years now, has closed down.

Charlie Ray, the man behind the Dome, shared the news today in a final post:

Hey y'all! Well, I know you've seen this coming and I can't believe it is actually so hard to do, but it is time for me to say goodbye. I cannot believe how much a part of me this blog became and can't tell you how many great people I've met and how much fun I've had poking fun at Texas and national politics.

PinkDome mixed irreverent commentary and insightful analysis in equal measure, focusing on targets on both sides of the aisle. For those who want to follow Charlie in his next incarnation, he's blogging over at KXAN Online.
