Local Music is Sexy alums Visitors provide a delicious buffet of synth-pop nuggets while Sweet Lee Morrow’s poignant psychedelia will also be available. Visitors are currently recording a follow-up to their debut Secrets although vocalist/guitarist Jason Saldana claims “We’re fully aware we’re a 5th or 6th album type of band.”!! The four-piece is working with The Sword bassist and producer Bryan Richie on the upcoming record and have already demo’d five new songs. Expect to hear at least a few of those tonight. Ardent Tripping Daisy fan Jesse “Po-Dunk” Hester (“Sweet Lee Morrow” is inspired, sorta, by Tripping Daisy’s debut album Bill) started the band in Dallas in the 90’s but had to put the effort on hold while he worked with The Polyphonic Spree. Having since left the Spree, relocated to Austin, and recruited two new members (Jared Jackson and Colin Peden), Po-Dunk felt the time was right to renew his pet project. Lucky for us, as the talent inherent in Sweet Lee Morrow, as well as the other three bands should make for a memorable night of live music, all for $3 if you RSVP on Do512. Do it!
