CNU XVI: Sustainability and the Booming Metropolis

CNU XVI starts today. If you see a lot of progressive looking urban-planning types walking around near the convention center, that's why. The Congress' official subtitle is "New Urbanism and the Booming Metropolis," which is certainly appropriate for Austin, but sustainability is also a major topic. On Friday, City Green of Austin is hosting two free events that are open to the public. The first is a Sustainable Buildings Tour, which will include several of Austin's LEED and AEGB certified buildings. The second is the Sustainabash at Speakeasy.
