On the men's side, the Longhorns look to build on one of their best seasons in school history. Texas enters the tournament with 28 wins (28-6) and this year marks the Longhorns' 10th straight appearance in the NCAA field. This will be the first meeting between Texas and Austin Peay (24-10). The game will be televised on CBS and heard on local radio on KVET (FM 98.1/1300 AM).
On the women's side, the Longhorns (21-12) are making their first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2005. First-year coach Gail Goestenkors and All-Big 12 guard Brittainey Raven will try to slow down the ninth-seeded Golden Gophers, who come into the tournament with a 20-11 record. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and KVET 1300 AM.
