Austinist's Own Hits the Internet Airwaves

Everyone’s favorite Austinist writer and indie-devotee, Adi Anand, has just broken into Break Thru Radio with a new show he’s dubbed River Runs Red (a title which made us think of Ben Stiller’s character from Anchor Man, but they’re totally unrelated). Okay, this is not his first run with Break Thru. That happened last month, which remains a brilliant lineup –

Tacks the Boy Disaster
Horse + Donkey
Blackholicus
Belaire

But come on. This month he’s got The Boxing Lesson, The Midgetmen, Golden Bear, Zykos, The Quitters, Crawling With Kings… screw it, we’ll just list them all since we started listing some. No one wants to get punched off a barstool ‘cause their band got left out of an internet listing! Here’s the playlist for Adi’s newest show:

00:00:23 The Name Of - The Heirs
00:05:06 Teenage America - Black Before Red
00:07:39 Sibylline Machine - The Channel
00:10:43 Keep It Light - Zykos
00:14:59 Time - Crawling With Kings
00:19:18 The Saddest Story Ever Told - Chris Boehk
00:23:50 Some Kind Of Sad - Ringo Deathstarr
00:25:50 Magic Horse - Horse + Donkey
00:28:20 Underneath - Built By Snow
00:31:42 Ten Thousand Orchestras - Golden Bear
00:35:10 Cowboys And Virginians - The Midgetmen
00:37:23 Lazy Ass Loves TV - The Quitters
00:39:36 Shower Dodger - The Quitters
00:41:24 Sophie - Dana Falconberry
00:46:56 Cloudy Like A Sweater - The Toko-Ri Get High Band
00:51:33 Neon Line - Ccanopyy
00:54:20 Muerta - The Boxing Lesson

SNAP! Take a listen and drink the Austin Indie in here.

And he is just getting started. Word around the watercooler is that he has access to quite a beautiful catalog of local bands' music. That means you can expect big things in the coming months. And Adi’s known around these parts as a ridiculously meticulous fellow, especially when it comes to the music he digs. Super-especially when it comes to music he thinks you’ll dig.

Looks, good, and not just because I'm in or friends with a few of these bands. :) I wish I could fast-forward in the player, though... Accidetnally closing the tab means i have to relisten to the first 15min again
