Theatre News Bits

Following tonight's performance of Troades, the Vortex is hosting a reception in honor of Sean T.C. O’Malley, composer of the show's original score. One of the theater's co-founders, O'Malley and his wife Lurana are visiting from Honolulu. Nosh on Greek food and sip champagne with the lovely cast and crew!

Want to see Speeding Motorcycle at Zach on the cheap? Every Wednesday night in March, all seats are $15! We liked the show. Bet you will too.

It has come to our attention that we missed a little Shakespeare last week. Yes, unbelievably, there is more. The Heroes of Comedy's Improvised Shakespeare, Saturdays at 8pm at the Hideout, is so popular that they had to extend the run through the end of March. What is it with Austin and Shakespeare, anyway? Tickets online.

Mortified is back! Casting calls are this weekend and next for those of you with embarrassing ephemera that you care to share. Material "must be written between the ages of 6-21 and by ALL MEANS, totally totally suck." Request an audition!
