Speaking of the Capitol building, perhaps Austin could throw this $12k towards the construction of guard shacks at the entrances to the Capitol grounds so the cops don't have to sit in their cars idling the engines 24/7 for AC & heat. Seth

I'd love to see Austin receive more federal dollars than this paltry sum. $12,000 doesn't even cover the overtime paid to Austin Parks and Recreation staff to set up and dismantle all the barricades, trash cans, and bleachers for the Obama-rama rally a couple weeks back at the Capitol. Yeah, the City of Austin provided those services free-of-charge for Obama's campaign. What a generous campaign contribution, Austin! Seth
