Best Places To Watch the Debates On the Cheap and, More Importantly, with Beer
Since so many of you wrote in asking about places to watch the Democratic Presidential Debate, we went ahead and called around town. Below are your best options if you missed out on the Alamo's watch parties or the Texas Democrats' party—both are now sold out. We still recommend calling ahead to make sure the folks below haven't changed their minds, and feel free to share any that we may have missed!
Places That Are Definitely Showing It
Sholz Garten Guero's The Side Bar Mother Egan's Irish Pub The Cloak Room |
Stephen F's The Tavern The Dog & Duck Pub Third Base Austin Texas Union Ballroom |
Places That May Show It, But Call Ahead
The Brown Bar Tiniest Bar in Texas MugShots Aussie's Volleybar and Grill |
Bout Time Bar Opal Divine's Penn Field Doc's Motorworks Bar & Grill Joe's Bar & Grill |

Guero's, you disappoint me.
Guero's is Bill Clinton's favorite restaurant in Austin. Every time he's here, he seems to eat dinner there. So, it's no surprise it is the official Hillary site.
Guero's margaritas are the smallest in town. Also, filled with ice cubes.
Seth
Let me publicly support Guero's suckitude. Shitty drinks, bland food, and indifferent service.
Gueros, you better leave nightly tokens to the twin gods of location and faux hipster inertia.
I'll stick up for you Guerro's. Your margarita's may be small, but they are mighty tasty, your food is great, and your salsa bar rocks. There, now be a good taco bar and go vote for Obama. You don't have to tell Bill.
