Giveaway: Fashion Freakout at United States Art Authority

Spiderhouse presents Fashion Freakout
Saturday, February 16
United States Art Authority (510 W. 29th St.)
8pm, $5, 21+

Spiderhouse (probably one of Austin's most representative coffee shop-bar-patios) is hosting a full evening of music and fashion this Saturday, dubbed Fashion Freakout. Because Austin style is significantly influenced by its vintage stores (New Bohemia, Buffalo Exchange, and Prototype Vintage Design will all be featured), the show aims to display local fashion's marriage to music and to showcase some new-old designs from recycled duds. Prototype Vintage Design will also be decorating the show while Pink Hair Salon takes care of hair and make-up.

DJs Tono-Loco, Brian Tweedy (Tighten Up), and Jason McNeely (Nite Moves) get the night spinning with rock and roll sets, and at 10pm, the Riverboat Gamblers' Mike Weibe will MC the action on the catwalk. Rounding out the night with energetic sets are Shapes Have Fangs and Toko Ri Get High. The new venue United States Art Authority (yes, we too thought it was a post office for a while) plays host to the whole shebang, and we're giving you a chance to win tickets, if you follow the jump.
