Modern Austin house (912 Bouldin Avenue)
6-9 p.m.

Austin Modernists Past and Present will present the works of two influential Austin modern artists, Shawn Camp and Ralph White, hanging inside a newly built modern home that boasts gallery-like entertaining spaces and spectacular views of the Austin skyline from a rooftop terrace.
The event, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 912 Bouldin Ave., launches Modern Austin - a new local home building company dedicated to bringing contemporary residential design to mid-price buyers.
The show was curated by modernist art scholar and historian Carl McQueary, who also curated the Austin Museum of Art's recent Austin Art Scene: Circa 1961 exhibit at Laguna Gloria, and Courtney DiSabato, program administrator of the Center for the Advancement and Study of Early Texas Art.
McQueary explained that the show and sale of the works by White and Camp tonight bring together the past and present all inside a wonderful modernist house, which in many ways is a work of art itself.
