Earlier this month, the city completed a web usage survey as the first step in AustinGO, an initiative intended to "help achieve a new era in open government."
Now a series of town hall meetings has been scheduled, with the first one set for Tuesday at City Hall. The results of the survey will be shared with the public, along with an outline of best practices embraced by other cities. You'll also have a forum to offer ideas on the new municipal site.

Yes, because designing something by committee is a good idea.
There is just no way to please all the people all of the time, if you try you will end up with something that pleases no one. Look at what a clusterfuck the NYC Freedom Tower has been.
There are a million talented web design firms in Austin whose main purpose is to figure what content should be on a website and how it should look.
Ugh.
