Scared Yet? Fangoria Weekend Comes to Austin

For the first time ever, Fangoria is bringing their Weekend of Horrors event to Austin. A pantheon of famous horror movie actors and directors, including Austin's Robert Rodriguez, will be appearing/speaking/signing autographs (IN BLOOD - just kidding) at the convention locale, the Renaissance Austin Hotel. (The Fangoria site has a complete list, along with headshots, some of which flicker back and forth between the star's actual face and his/her horror movie alter ego - the effect is mesmerizing.)

But that's not all! The Alamo Drafthouse Village will host a series of film screenings with celebrity guests, the list of which can be found here. Highlights: Director Uwe Boll will introduce "Seed" on Friday at 9:45 pm; director Bill Lustig will appear along with his "Maniac Cop 2" (tag line: "You have the right to remain silent...forever!") on Saturday at 9:45 pm; Dario Argento's "Mother of Tears" will cap off the weekend in style on Sunday night at 11:59 pm.
