Alamo Drafthouse Downtown (320 E 6th Street)
9:45pm, $10 / $60 with feast

But despite Gries' long list of character parts, two of his more substantial roles stand out as the coolest: first, his hilarious performance as the reclusive, pajama-wearing brainiac Lazlo Hollyfeld in the 1985 classic Real Genius, and second, his equally funny turn as the tupperware-selling, steak-throwing Uncle Rico in the 2004 cult hit Napoleon Dynamite. So we're super-excited that tomorrow night, the Alamo will be screening these two films back-to-back with Gries in attendance!
The Real Genius screening is totally sold out (*sad face*). But cheer up--you can still enter below for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the 9:45pm screening of Napoleon Dynamite AND a pair of pajamas autographed by Laslo himself*! In the spirit of the evening, we'll even let you enter as often as you like (it won't increase your chances of winning, though).
If you want to keep the party rolling past midnight, tomorrow's Weird Wednesday screening will feature the Charles Band-produced sci-fi flick Terrorvision, which John is also in. This midnight screening is free, but you can reserve a seat by purchasing a $4.50 food and drink voucher.
This contest is closed. Thanks to all who entered!
* Due to the bizarre nature of this prize, there's a slim chance we'll have to substitute it at the last minute. But either way, you'll get something cool.
