Earlier this week, two teenage girls were found shot to death in their father's taxi cab in Irving. The girls, Sarah (17) and Amina (18) Said, were outgoing and doing well in school. They lived with their parents and older brother in Lewisville in what sounds like a very strict household. They were forbidden to hang out much with friends. The
Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports that Sarah, the youngest, had met someone at work and had told a friend her father "would kill her if he found out." The police are afraid that this phrase may have been an ominous foretelling instead of teenage hyperbole.
An argument may have led up to the fatal events, but details are still sketchy. One of the girls was able to call 911 Tuesday night, but couldn't give their location. An hour later, a suspicious vehicle parked in a hotel parking lot was called in. When the cops got to the cab, the girls were already dead. Investigators are unsure how the killer got away - if he ran or if an accomplice picked him up.
The father of the two girls, Yaser Abdel Said, is on the run and is considered armed and dangerous.
