Austinist Show Preview: Tacks, The Boy Disaster, Brazos, & Til We’re Blue Or Destroy at Emo's Lounge

101X FM presents this year’s final installment of their Homegrown Live series on Wednesday at Emo’s Lounge. Homegrown Live has featured a broad array of local hotshots this year including Born To Lose and Black Before Red, staying true to their mantra of “showcasing promising local artists and the kick-ass live music venues in Austin.”

The series wraps up on Wednesday with another set of talented acts from town -- Til We’re Blue Or Destroy and Brazos get things going before making way for Tacks, The Boy Disaster. Since music videos are somewhat in vogue this week, we gathered some news and visual candy for your pleasure. Til We’re Blue Or Destroy are making plans for a trip to Marfa to shoot a video for “All Shook Up” and they also provided us with a live clip from a recent show at Club DeVille (watch it after the jump). Meanwhile, Brazos is in the process of making a video for “Feeding Frenzy” while also working on material for their debut full-length, with recording expected to begin in February of next year. Tacks, The Boy Disaster recently wrapped up a tour on the other side of the pond but are back to serenade our hump day in Austin. This will be their last show for a little while as the band will head to the studio to record their full-length album in the ensuing months.
