Former Dallas resident Nancy Rose McGowan, 26, was thrown in Travis County Jail yesterday after authorities discovered that she lacked a state board license and, more disconcertingly, any kind of formal education in pharmacy work whatsoever. McGowan had been working at the CVS Pharmacy at 4405 E. Riverside Drive for the past two months, and actively filled prescriptions using the names "Amber Mclendon" and "Amber Shcherbelis."
"Working as a pharmacist is a lucrative field," said APD Detective Billy Petty to the Statesman. "I think that's why she was doing it—for the pay."
McGowan's con was first revealed in late November, when she failed to provide a pharmacist ID card during a routine inspection by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. She also claimed to lack a driver's license "because she didn't drive"—authorities probably became a little suspicious when she drove home in her Hummer H3.
McGowan now faces two felony charges—for tampering with a government record and fraud—as well as a lesser misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

I think Det. Petty is deserving of a visit from Mensa. GENIUS!
Rose McGowan!

I'd hate to be the owner of an H3 going up against a Travis county jury...
WTF? Who invents a last name like "Shcherbelis?"
First a homewrecker (Robert Rodriguez' marriage), now a fraud pill-pusher. She's a pestle-ence upon Austin! Recount the OxyContin pronto!
From the police report, this tidbit: her ploy was sniffed out by the store's young delivery boy, one George Bailey. "Ms. McGowan fatally poisoned 98 customers, including five members of your own family, because you weren't there to turn her into the police. You see, George, you really did make a difference."
WOW SHE IS HOT.
