Giveaway: Dinosaur Jr., Awesome Color @ Emo's

There are three kinds of Dinosaur Jr fan: the 80s scenesters with a Deep Wound cassette and fond memories of J Mascis & Co doing sloppy Peter Frampton covers at the Elks Lodge; children of the '90s who thought "Feel The Pain" was probably a Foo Fighters song; and kids who read Pitchfork often enough to feel entitled to some borrowed nostalgia.

Not that nostalgia has any place in the current state of affairs, because no matter how long and gray J Mascis' hair gets or how thick Lou Barlow's glasses are, they can still write a song to shame all comers. See the photo to the left there? Dinosaur Jr still sound exactly as awesome as that photo, and you can't really say that about anybody else, so there.

Jr. will be joined by Awesome Color, noise provocateurs and punk rock impressionists from Brooklyn. Get ready for a noisy evening!
