Quantcast

Overheard in Austin

Young guy, wearing sunglasses inside of Quack's Bakery in the middle of the night, talking to a girl sitting near him:Do you reside here frequently?
At I Luv Video on Airport Blvd., a female customer holding a DVD case: Is Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle any good?
Dreadlocked Male Employee:Uh, that depends. Do you smoke weed?
Female customer: I guess I could make a stop on the way home.
DME: There's a Holy Trinity of pot-smoking movies. The first is Half Baked, then Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle... uh, I can't remember what the third one is.
Female Employee: That's a joke.
DME: No, seriously. I really can't remember what it is.
A student's response to the journal prompt, “Describe the good and bad things about growing up.”:The good things about growing up are you can grow stronger and pubic hair.
One South Congress, two college aged women in empire waistline skirts are surprised to run into each other:Oh Hey! Between your big sunglasses and my big sunglasses I couldn't recognize you!
Drunk blonde in the ladies' room at The Parish:OH MY GOD, it smells like a hamster in here.

    Is that a cartoon about two fat Jewish guys who eat ice cream and chase each other around the house?

    That post about growing up almost made me want to be a teacher for half a second. The poor punctuation and grammar make it even cuter:) Yay for growing stronger and pubic hair!

    Hmm, what about "The Big Labowski"

    That "I heart video" quote is classic. But the true Holy Trinity of Stoner Films are:

    * "This Is Spinal Tap"

    * "Dazed And Confused"

    * "The Wizard Of Oz" with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon playing over the audio.

    (They did the last one at Alamo a couple of nights ago but I missed it.) Praise the lord.
