Happy Birthday, Progress Coffee

The time's flown by so fast that it's almost hard to imagine, but eastside cafe Progress Coffee turns three today.

It took over a year to transform what used to be a derelict warehouse into the beloved coffeehouse, which today anchors one of Austin's fastest growing creative communities. Nearby businesses now run the gamut from moped retrofitters and photography studios to film production companies and "digital media consultants"—not too shabby, especially considering the land nearby used to serve as a crack alley.

Compliments on the urban renewal. However, on the three times I've tried to go there for coffee there has either been an outrageous cover or they have closed early.

Artsy coffee place without the attitude--I love Progress Coffee. Keep up the great work. Keep that internet free and fast too.

I disagree; the name alone has a plethora of attitude.

Okay Reynard you may have a point. But the people inside that serve you coffee do it with friendliness. Plus it has green walls. A plethora of green walls, if you will.
